Trade deadline wrap: Sixers busy, Rockets clear space + more

The trade deadline has come and gone for another year! The talk surrounding a number of superstars such as Paul George and Jimmy Butler didn’t materialise but there were plenty of moves that will affect this year’s playoff race.

Completed Deals on Final Day:

  1. Raptors receive: P.J. Tucker; Suns receive: Jared Sullinger and TOR’s 2017 & 2018 second-rounders
  2. Suns receive: Mike Scott; Hawks receive: Cash considerations & rights to Cenk Akyol.
  3. Lakers receive: Tyler Ennis; Rockets receive: Marcelo Huertas (will be waived)
  4. Nuggets receive: Roy Hibbert; Bucks receive: Heavily protected second-rounder
  5. Thunder receive: Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott & 2018 second rounder; Bulls receive: Joffrey Lauvernge, Anthony Morrow and Cameron Payne
  6. Nets receive: K.J. McDaniels; Rockets receive: Heavily protected second-rounder
  7. 76ers receive: Justin Anderson, Andrew Bogut and first-round pick (top 18 protected); Mavericks receive: Nerlens Noel

The Sixers will waive Andrew Bogut, clearing the way for him to join reigning champions the Cleveland Cavaliers or in a strange twist head back to Oakland and become a Warrior again. Deron Williams is also seeking a buyout to potentially return to Utah, with Cleveland also an outside chance.
